What we do, how we work, and what it costs. If your question isn't here, ask us directly.
We're a managed IT services company. That means we handle your technology infrastructure — computers, networks, security, email, cloud services, backups — so you don't have to. Think of us as your IT department, minus the overhead of hiring one.
We work with small businesses and homeowners in the Columbus area, with remote support available nationwide.
Small businesses that need reliable IT but can't justify a full-time hire. We typically work with companies that have 2–50 users. Fire protection companies, construction firms, law offices, medical practices — any business that depends on its technology but isn't in the technology business.
Homeowners who want professional help with networking, media servers, smart home setups, or just need someone to fix the thing that stopped working.
PHATT TECH was founded in 2022 in Grove City, Ohio. We're an LLC registered with the State of Ohio and we've been serving the greater Columbus area since day one.
Yes. Most of what we do — monitoring, patching, security, troubleshooting — is done remotely. We can support clients anywhere in the country. On-site visits are available in the Columbus metro area (Dublin, Westerville, Powell, Worthington, Grove City, Hilliard, and surrounding areas).
Our managed plans are all-inclusive. Here's what you get:
If it touches your technology, it's probably covered. Anything outside the scope gets quoted separately before we start.
We use the same enterprise-grade tools that large MSPs use — just without the overhead that makes them slow and expensive:
Yes. If your team is spending hours on manual, repetitive tasks, we can build custom automation workflows tailored to how your business actually operates. This includes things like automated invoice processing, client notification systems, scheduled reporting, cross-platform data syncing, and document management.
The goal is always the same: reduce labor costs, eliminate human error, and free your people up for work that requires a person.
Absolutely. Home networking, Wi-Fi optimization, media servers, smart home devices, new computer setup, data recovery, printer issues — we make house calls and don't talk down to you. Same-day service available in the Columbus area.
Hourly support: $150/hr for on-site or remote, no contract required. Something breaks, you call, we fix it.
Managed plans: Starting at $150/user/month, flat rate. Everything listed above is included — monitoring, security, backups, M365, support. One invoice, no surprises. That's hundreds of dollars in value per user when you factor in what you'd pay for each service individually.
We're transparent about pricing because we don't like surprises either. If a project falls outside the scope of your plan, we quote it separately before touching anything.
Managed service agreements are 12 months with automatic renewal. You can cancel with 30 days written notice after the initial term. We don't lock you in because we'd rather earn your business every month than hold you to a piece of paper.
Hourly support has no contract at all. Pay for the time, nothing else.
Projects outside the scope of your managed plan — like setting up a second office, major system overhauls, or new infrastructure — are quoted and billed separately. We'll always give you a number before we start, and you'll never see a charge you didn't approve.
Managed plans are billed monthly via ACH (bank draft) on the 5th of each month. Hourly work and project work are billed upon completion. Simple, predictable, no invoicing headaches.
Depends on the severity. For managed clients:
For hourly clients: same-day response during business hours, next business day for after-hours requests.
Yes. Remote support is available 24/7 for managed clients. Weekend on-site work is available at a premium rate for emergencies. We're not going to leave you hanging because it's Saturday.
We're a small team by design. The people who set up your systems are the same people who maintain them. You won't be explaining your environment from scratch every time you call. That continuity is one of the biggest advantages of working with a lean operation like ours.
Multiple layers:
We also maintain strict confidentiality. Your data is your data — full stop.
That's what the BDR appliance is for. It captures regular snapshots of your servers — data, operating system, applications, configuration — and replicates them to a secure cloud location. If a server fails, we can restore from the local appliance or the cloud. The goal is getting you back up and running, not starting from scratch.
We ask that PCs, servers, and network equipment be less than 5 years old. We also require a supported operating system, licensed software, a hardware firewall, and encrypted wireless. This isn't about being rigid — it's about making sure we can actually keep your environment secure and stable. If your current setup doesn't meet these standards, we'll work with you to get there.
We start with an evaluation of your current environment — what you have, what's working, what isn't. Then we build a plan to bring everything up to standard, install our monitoring and security tools, and migrate any services that need migrating (email, backups, etc.). The goal is a clean handoff with zero downtime for your team.
If anything needs to be brought into compliance (hardware too old, no firewall, no backups), we handle that as part of onboarding and quote those costs separately.
We make it easy. You designate a new provider, and we work cooperatively to transfer your data, network documentation, backups, and any services we manage. We'll provide up to 60 days of transition support to make sure nothing falls through the cracks. Your data belongs to you — we don't hold it hostage.
No. Hourly support is exactly what it sounds like — you call, we fix it, you pay for the time. No monthly commitment, no contract, no minimums. If you decide later that you want ongoing coverage, we can talk about a managed plan then.
